Slim marsh aster

Slim Marsh Aster is an annual herb native to the Central Valley, Southern California, and the South Bay Area, Slim Marsh Aster blooms in summer and early fall, providing nectar and late summer pale pink-purple to white blooms to pollinators and people alike.

A somewhat weedy in appearance wildflower, it will do well as an addition to a butterfly or bee garden. This annual can reach up to 3 feet in height, and will reseed very well in a sunny, marshy spot. Ideal for pond edges, sloughs, or ephemeral creeksides. Can tolerate salt spray.
