Golden Currant
Golden currant is a colorful showy shrub. Fast growing to about 3-6′ tall. This deciduous shrub is very easy to grow.
The scented bright yellow flowers (April – May) are well liked by the hummingbirds. The flavorful berries that are about the size of blueberries can be either yellow, red, or purple when ripe.
Golden Currant can be used as a beautiful back drop to a woodland planting or under oaks, as it is drought tolerant.
