Small Flower Melica

A densely tufted perennial grass. Grows from 3-4 feet tall and about 1 foot wide. Space 6″ apart.

Used as an ornamental native grass. Wonderful addition to a meadow garden and under trees in a woodland garden. The slender green leaves flush and arch out in the winter. It is most effective when in a mass (or at least a small grouping) and is good for erosion control on shaded slopes.

Give limited water in summer to keep it green.
