Roughleaf Aster
Rougleaf Aster is a perennial flower that reaches 2 ft. tall with zig-zagged stems and leaves covered in short, stiff hairs (hence the common name). Like other members of the Aster family, the flowers of this species have yellow compact clusters in the center surrounded by white-to-purple ray petals.
In the garden, this aster is the perfect addition to butterfly and bee gardens and it prefers well-draining soil with a good balance of moisture.
