Giant Chalk Dudleya
Giant Chalk Dudleya is beautiful evergreen succulent with chalky-green rosettes that can grow 1-1.5 ft tall and wide. The fleshy spikes emerge mostly white in spring, turning silver with prominent red tips and tinges of powder blue as they age. In spring they send up bright reddish-pink spikes 1 – 2 ft. tall that bear yellow flowers in late spring through summer.
Giant Chalk Dudleya prefers sandy, well-drained soils in full sun along the coast or slightly filtered light inland. Avoid summer water and direct afternoon sun.
It is a striking addition to rock gardens or containers, and pairs beautifully with other Dudleya species.
