Chapparral honeysuckle

Chaparral honeysuckle is an evergreen shrub that grows 3′ to 8′ tall.

A tidy honeysuckle with handsome arching stems that climb with support. Good for climbing a low fence. Grows at the drip line of oaks, spreading to cover much of the ground in the shade of the tree.

Hummingbirds, bees and butterflies collect nectar from the yellow flowers. Berries are attractive to a variety birds and mammals (and humans).

Fragrant pale yellow flowers Spring to Summer followed by red edible berries.
