California False Indigo

California false indigo is a winter-deciduous shrub that reaches 10 ft tall x 6 ft. wide. It’s spike-like racemes of deep purple flowers bloom throughout spring and summer, providing a pleasant fragrance and a great food source for a variety of pollinators.

This plant is an excellent choice for containers, butterfly gardens, hedges, and slope restoration. It pairs well with Oaks, Bay Laurel, Madrone, and shrubs like Manzanita, Ceanothus, Ocean Spray, Ribes spp., and Snowberry
