Tufted Poppy
This is an annual herb that is quite similar in appearance to its relative, the California Poppy, but the tufted poppy has smaller showy yellow flowers. Blooms throughout spring and summer (March – August), attracting native bumblebees and butterflies, and providing a glorious show of color in a sunny garden.
Because it is an annual, it is best used in a meadow-like setting where it can reseed. Pairs beautifully with other annuals such as lupines, Chinese houses, and clarkias.
