Its erect, usually branching stem reaches up to 2.5 ft. or more with pale to deep purple flowers occurring at intervals along the stem.

Likely larval host plant for several species of Orangtip, White, Marble, and Sulphur butterflies.

A delightful pop of purple in the garden setting for a sunny spot with dry soil!
