Blue Palo Verde

Blue Palo Verde is a summer semi-deciduous tree native to the Sonoran Desert region, spanning California, Arizona, and Mexico.

It is drought tolerant and fast-growing, reaching 26 ft. tall by 20 ft. wide, with golden yellow flowers that appear in the spring and occasionally after summer rainfall.

Blue Palo Verde is one of the most popular trees for desert gardens. Its flowers are attractive to numerous insects, and Blue Palo Verde is a common choice for desert birds and hummingbirds to build their nests in. The seed pods are also valued by numerous animals and resemble Mesquite.
